THE ALBUM

"Stargazer Rising" was the first single off 'Welcome To Paradise' and the first track that gained some attention among Synthwavers. It was the very beginning of my relationship with the Synthwave scene. I got in touch with a lot of great people like Toxic Razor from Werkstatt Recordings, Massimo from CONFRONTATIONAL, Speed Machine and Karate King.
In October 2014, Synthetix Sundays played the next single "Welcome To Paradise" on their show and on January 4, 2015 the LP was released through Werkstatt Recordings on CD and Audio Cassette.

For this re-release, I added the track "Firestar" to the record. It was composed in 2014 during the sessions for 'Welcome To Paradise' but felt different. So I decided to cut it out. Three years later, I changed my mind. I really love it. To me it adds another layer to record and makes it more colorful.

THE VHS-MASTER AND ADDITIONAL TRACKS

'Welcome To Paradise: The VHS-Master' was a little experiment I did back then. I wanted to present the record in a different, more old-school way. So I took the shittiest VHS I found in my basement and recorded the album on it. It's mono, it's ugly, it's just great.
I also added a couple of tracks to this version. "Firestar", "Whisper to Kill" and "Muder TV". While "Firestar" was a very textured and epic track, "Whisper To Kill" and "Murder TV" felt relatively short and more Ambient then Synthwave, which is why I also erased them from the orginal version of this record. I guess I made all those decisions because I was afraid that the album wouldn't be accepted by the scene. Of course I was wrong. Unfortunately I lost the original files of "Whisper To Kill" and "Murder TV". They are only available on The VHS-Master.

Basically every song on this album has a structure similar to those on progressive metal albums. You never know what to expect and how the song will shift in the next few seconds. That makes listening to it very interesting. Also, this is probably my favorite sound Glitch Black has used so far. Hard to pick a favorite song though, had to decide between Starcatcher and Forever War. FLESH MECHANIC
